In 2010 39.4% of domestic corn production went to ethanol production. Without subsidies, your tax dollars, that would be zero. Now, the EPA has approved up to 15% ethanol in gasoline for newer model cars and trucks. In an article in the Wall Street Journal dated 1-19-11, Dick Armey and Matt Kibbe found $3 trillion in cuts over the next ten years. It’s pretty wordy, so I will summarize without quotes.
