As Congress ponders a so-called COVID Relief Bill we get a clearer picture of why this country is losing ground to nations like China and cities like Dubai. Very little of the COVID Bill has anything to do with COVID. Most is pork and relief to Blue states with pension obligations that can’t be met. Plus, nothing is cut for foreign aid which we can no longer afford. So if we spent money on infrastructure like China we might see this:
Most states and cities don’t have the budget to fill potholes let alone do what China has done.
Then there’s Dubai.
This does put it in perspective. The United States squanders our limited assets while others modernize their countries and cities.
This does not bode well for future generations.
