Well, it’s finally official. First it was Bernie Sanders making a strong run for the nomination. Might have gotten the nod but for the infamous Hillary double cross.
The chairman of the Democratic National Party, Tom Perez, on Tuesday said socialist political candidates like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are the “future” of the party.
Ocasio-Cortez, a self-described “democratic socialist” who defeated a top House Democrat in a recent primary election, symbolizes where the party is headed, Perez told “The Bill Press Show.”
“I have three kids. two of them are daughters. One just graduated college, one who is in college – and they were both texting me about their excitement over Alexandria because she really – she represents the future of our party,” Perez said.
So, let’s make it official. Rebrand it: the Democratic Socialist Party. We are right at the tipping point to make it work. Young people like the Perez daughters right out of college are all in. The media is all in. As are: Hollywood, NYC, California, both Washingtons, all bureaucrats in DC, and the uber rich like Gates, Buffett, Musk, Bezos and the rest.
The only thing standing between us and this nation becoming a Socialist country are you and me and President Trump.
