Why does Trump pose a threat to most politicians in Washington DC? I believe there is something deeper at work. If he succeeds he might change the country’s model for candidates. Attorneys and career politicians may fall out of fashion. For the first century of this nation lay people came to DC and served a term in Congress then went back to the farm or vocation. Maybe successful business men and women might replace the model we have now. We elect attorneys and career politicians. Trump could change that and obsolete most of today’s elected officials from mayors to presidents.
Attorneys don’t run businesses with few exceptions. For good reason. Their training doesn’t prepare them for that. They sell words, oral and written. And, boy can our politicians do that.
Trump has run a huge business enterprise with global operations. He has managed 25,000 employees. He has dealt with accountability his entire life. His success may convince us we need to look into that type of experience for electees and may convince business people to run for office. This is a huge threat for every politician in this country and they are acting out of fear because politicians recognize a threat.
You seem to be right on the money.
There are attorneys and doctors, but very few just regular people.
We really need some David Crockett’s in Congress.
