It’s here, the fiasco in Iraq will bring summer gasoline prices to $5 a gallon in the United States. Why? Here’s the explaination from President Obama, the adoring media, and from me.
President Obama: “yeah, I read that in the paper the other day. That’s where I learn this stuff, you know. If you think I give a rip about $5 gasoline, you would be wrong. You see, you buy my gas. For my limos, my chopper, and my personal aircraft. I haven’t bought a gallon of anything for the past 6 years.”
The adoring media: “this is a good thing. This will help climate change. Americans will drive less. We’ll all be better off in a hundred years.”
Me: no president has done more to raise energy costs since Jimmy Carter when he put his famous price controls in place and created lines that got him put out of office. Obama caused the mess in Iraq that triggered this run up. All he had to do was leave troops there like we have done in Germany, Korea, and Japan. Or, move troops from Germany and Japan since I still don’t know why they are there. He could have approved the Keystone Pipeline. Or, drilling with new technology on our Federal lands, not his lands. He has closed, or will close, 400 coal fired power plants without any approval but his. Like to pay double for your electricity, just wait? You will by 2017.
Poor people, suck it up. This president will nickel and dime you on energy until you can’t afford to drive to work or live in your house.
This guy has screwed up everything he has touched since he took office. The economy, which shrunk 3% in the first quarter, foreign policy, health care, and most of all energy.
Keep drinking the Kool-Aid.
