We marketers learn in Marketing 101 that you must make it easy for consumers to purchase your product. Hence, you determine where the target consumer can buy the product with the least inconvenience and work the channels of distribution to get the product there at the lowest possible cost.
The US government has learned nothing about marketing anything. You are compelled to buy most products the government offers. The big ObamaCare kickoff is using typical government compulsion marketing to sell the product. Here is the example for the state of Illinois. On the Illinois exchange there are eight insurers offering 162 plans. So, problem number one, too many plans, too many choices, too much complexity.
To find out about the products you go to: getcoveredillionois.gov. If you make less than 138% of the federal poverty level(about $15,800 for an individual, $32,500 for a family of four) you will be redirected to another website: abe.illionois.gov and begin applying for Medicaid. If you earn more your will be sent to healthare.gov. Or, you can call 866-311-1119.

If none of this works you can go to: localhelp.healthcare.gov to get a list of places you can go to for help.

Got all that? Would anyone in their right mind launch a new product with this list of purchase options? Believe me, the man behind ObamaCare, and his minions, who are blaming Republicans for shutting down the government to spare Americans this mess are not in their right minds.
For you bettors who like to make an occasional wager, the over/under on the number of pissed off voters by the end of October is 25,000,000, the same for enrollees is 25,000. I’m not including the 67% who are already pissed off about it, and the 25,000 is mainly people with pre-existing conditions who will endure anything to get insurance. All we ever needed was a change in the law to get them help. Not the destruction of the best health care system in the world.
