One of Senator Obama’s many character flaws was shown yesterday as the fawning media threw softballs after softball at him on his summer camp trip. When the first was thrown, he was unprepared. As I wrote in yesterday’s entry, he blew it. But, his huge staff of writers and spinners gave him a canned response. He has used it every time since.
He now says the surge is not responsible for the success in Iraq. It was a convergence of event that turned the tide. He says tribal leaders got together and decided they had enough of al-Qaeda and that is the primary reason the fighting has diminshed.
He had two choices. He could have simply said, I was wrong. David Petraus and his troops have done what I thought couldn’t happen. I have nothing but high praise for his leadership and the work of the brave men and women who have made Iraq a better place for all Iraqi’s. My hats off to all of them. This is what a leader, a statesman, and a future Commander and Chief should say when visting a war zone?
The community organizer can’t carry General Petraus’ luggage. If Senator Obama had been asked to do the job the General did in Iraq, he would have failed miserably. Still, he feels fullly qualified to correct the General on what needs to be done on both fronts in the war. Amazing.
There is no end to Senator Obama’s arrogance and political aspirations. Those are above everything else the man does. He will throw anyone under the bus to be president. Now he throws a military success under the bus. And all the people who gave so much to make it happen. Design your own Presidential Seal. Throw Reverend Wright under the bus, I don’t care.
You’ve seen his true colors now. He can’t admit he might have been wrong. He said plainly , time after time, the surge won’t work. Now when it’s working, he can’t give credit to the people who made him wrong.
He’s a weasel and he’s in the hen house working hard to kill as many chickens as he can kill. Remember this when you decide whether you want to turn the White house into his own personal hen house.
