How Much Worse Can it Get?

Worse, much worse. We are only hitting choppy water. The perfect storm is on the horizon.

It’s all our fault. The two best candidates we can put up for the highest office are both from the senate. The approval rating for congress is lower than it is for Bush. Explain the logic of that. One has done almost nothing of note during his time and the other has done absolutely nothing. Is this how you would pick a president of a company? From an organization that is not working well? And, not  the best of a bad organization.

In January I predicted $5 gasoline by summer. It will happen. Nothing anyone can do will stop it. Cutting 18 cents in federal gas tax won’t even be noticed. Who does it hurt the most? The working person who needs to use gasoline to get to work or to get around to jobs. The very people the democrats say they look after and the republicans ignore. I’m not a politician, but if I were an old white guy(actually I am), I think I could parlay this into a big advantage. My young dynamic black opponent is going to wax my butt in November. He already has a 5 percent lead and I haven’t shown my ass in the debates yet. I could jump on this and wax his butt. But, I’m not running my campaign, the consultants are. The consultants are all in favor of global warming, so they tell me I have to be too.

Here’s my next prediction. Electricity will go through the roof this summer. It’s already happening in Texas. Washington has mandated new clean power by percentage and utilities have to find the money for solar and wind. Plus, solar and wind costs up to seven times conventional power generation. And, as they are finding in Texas, the grid is stretched tight. Lastly, for peak shaving utilities use fuel oil(diesel) and natural gas. Both are at all time highs.

Again, who does high power rates hurt the most? The voters who traditionally support the democratic party. The democrats are already blaming the Bush administration for the high gas prices. The lies will be coming so fast and furious their noses will get longer than Pinocchio’s and Gore’s. The truth is, the cost will be simply the product of bad government. Mandating alternative fuel for electric power will get the same results that mandating anything in a free market gets. Shortages and high prices. People will die because of this if we get a prolonged heat wave. Their power will be turned off or they will not be able to afford to turn it on and the heat will take them. But, in America we put the polar bear first and the voter way down the list. Even the old white guy who is going to get his ass waxed does.

If you are mad now, just wait. When you buy that first $150 tank of gasoline and get that first electric bill that is double last years’ bill, you will be smoking. Still, you will have two bad choices for president and few good choices for any other office.

Washington will not fix this until enough of us get mad and take the time to tell them how mad we really are.

Take a minute and read my old friend Joe’s comments below. He really makes some good points. He’s an old oil man who spends a lot of time in Russia for business. He has a true international perspective. The world thinks we are absolutely the dumbest nation on earth self- destructing for idiots like Gore. Better brush up on the Koran.

The OPEC minister will look you in the eyes and state:

We are at war with you infidels. Have been since the embargo in the 1970s. You are so arrogant you haven’t even recognized it. You have more missiles, bombs, and technology; so we are fighting with the best weapon we have and extracting on a net basis about $700 billion/year out of your economy. We will destroy you! Death to the infidels!

While I am here I would like to thank you for the following:

Thank you for not developing your 250-300 year supply of oil shale and tarsands. We know if you did this, it would create millions of jobs for US citizens, expand your engineering capabilities, and keep the wealth in the US instead of sending it to us to finance our war against you bastards.

Thanks for limiting defense dept. purchases of oilsands from your neighbors to the north. We love it when you confuse your allies.

Thanks for over regulating every segment of your economy and thus delaying, by decades, the development of alternate fuel technologies.

Thanks for limiting drilling off your coasts, in Alaska, and anywhere there is a bug, bird, fish, or plant that might be inconvenienced. Better that your people suffer! Glad to see our lobbying efforts have been so effective.

Thank you for corn-based Ethanol. Praise Allah for this sham program! Perhaps you will destroy yourself from the inside with theses types of policies. This is a gift from Allah, praise his name! We never would have thought of this one! This is better than when you pay your farmers NOT TO GROW FOOD. Have them use more energy to create less energy, and simultaneously drive food prices through the roof. Thank you US Congress!!!!

And finally, we appreciate you letting us fleece you without end. You will be glad to know we have been accumulating shares in your banks, real estate, and publicly held companies. We also finance a good portion of your debt and now manipulate your markets, currency, and economies to our benefit.

THANK YOU CONGRESS of THE UNITED STATES of AMERICA!"
