It is estimated that there are 80,000,000 grandparents in America today with our ranks growing every day. Do you realize the impact we can have if we are organized? We have time, experience and resources at our disposal. We have every reason to be motivated since most of us are uneasy about the future of our country and the impact of that uncertain future on our grandchildren.

It’s been a given that every generation leaves a better place for the next. That has been true for our kids. But, it may not be true for our grandkids. Responsibility for that may not rest with the prior generation, but it may be generation skipping. I can’t say that my kids are responsible for the mess in Washington today. There may be some shared responsibility, but most of it rests with us, my generation. We let it get away from us. We let more and more regulation creep in, we let more and more spending occur, more growth in government, accepted poor performance from our elected officials while letting them assume more control over our lives.

If only a reasonable percentage of us believe we need to get organized and push for change, we can make a big impact.

I am asking for ideas about this. Are we on the right track? Is it worthwhile to go after it? Let me know what you think.

I think you’re on the right track, but may need to consider a new website dedicated to the 80+ million Grandparents, which try’s to get them involved and motivated to make a change. This however may not be easy and would probably require someone who knows how to do such things.

As I watch You Tube, I have noticed there are a number of video sites that are gaining a lot of views and subscribers and it may be as simple as starting with a video broadcast site to test market and see if the info provided would garner interest and support.

I subscribe to a number of different sites like most of today’s candidates who have them and they seem to be getting a lot of attention.

It may be something to think about. We could try a video with you being the commentator and doing some short 3-5 minute video blogs containing info to attract viewers.
