Now we see the Nanny State clearly. Obesity in America is bringing out he worst in the people who belive they can control obesity. Just like prohibition, they will go too far. The 1-4-10 Wall Street Journal ran an article about the history of Prohibition in the US. Cited in the article was a reference to a prominent Yale economist, Irving Fisher, who predicted a ban on alcohol would guarantee a 20% rise in industrial productivity.
