This got 45,900 likes and 5,400 replies. The tweet was published on September 11, 2020 at the height of police hatred . Defund the police was the word of the day. NFL players were kneeling for the anthem in droves.

Yes those are firemen in the picture but cops died in the Twin Towers. It is estimated that 241 NYPD officers have died from 9/11 illnesses, 10 times the number killed in World Trade Center attack.

The 5,400 replies to this tweet explain how we have an Alzheimer’s President. Sure, the 45,900 who loved the tweet didn’t need to reply but if you read through those replies it confirms what George Carlin said “the average person in this country is stupid. But, remember 50% are dumber”

The simple comparison of the danger of being a cop vs. a kneeling NFL player was far too subtle for most. It’s scary to think that is such a deep thought.

It gets retweet’s every few days and has a life of its own. Reading comments tells me how mayors with record homicides last year (16 cities, 15 Democrat run) got support for defunding the cops.

The media sold the “bad cop” theory and NFL players hurt the league by their kneeling for the anthem protests.

I agree wholeheartedly with what you say.

When the media paint a broad brush of All Cops are bad my immediate reaction is … OK, now do politicians. In a comparison of bad apples, my money is on higher percentage of politicians are bad/corrupt/criminals than police officers.
