Let’s think about this whole border wall budget impasse. Prior to November 2002, there was no Department of Homeland Security. It was created because some terrorists went to flight schools in the US, boarded three planes and the rest is history. The investigation showed the FBI, the CIA, the NSA and the rest didn’t communicate so we needed another three letters in the alphabet soup of the Federal bureaucracy. For the past 17 years we have spent $510,000,000,000 on an agency because the ones we had failed us. ( that’s $510 billion)

This agency now requests a wall on our southern border. The President says he wants $5 billion to start construction on the most critical parts of the wall. The Democrat Party says no to a request to spend 0.00196% of what we have spent on the Department of Homeland Security since it’s inception in 2002.

If the Department of Homeland Security is wrong on this request why not shut them down and go back where we were and save $47.5 billion this year. Let the Democrat Party replace the DHS like they did when Clinton was President and didn’t take out bin Laden when he had the chance.

Why do I require a TSA agent grabbing my junk ( knee replacement) but not have a wall I consider to be critical to homeland security?

If a wall in not relevant why did El Chapo’s people dig elaborate tunnels where there were walls to bring drugs across to kill kids in this country?

Does this help put the wall in perspective? It does for me.
