President Trump opted out for the annual Correpsondents Dinner. Was that a good or bad decision on the part of the president.
First, it’s a “look at us “event showing the massive egos of the people engaged in the news business. The President believes the majority of the public dislike and distrust what these people have become. In his speech in Pennsylvania he noted that 95% of the people in that business are registered Democrats. Not surprisingly statistics show that 85 % of their product is anti-Trump.
President Donald Trump is correct when he says the public doesn’t believe the media anymore!
Americans’ trust and confidence in the mass media “to report the news fully, accurately and fairly” has dropped to its lowest level in Gallup polling history, with 32% saying they have a great deal or fair amount of trust in the media. This is down eight percentage points from last year.

The best these clowns could do for an emcee is one Hassan Minhaj. Who is Minjaj? He hosts the Daily Show. He is from a Muslim family which seems to show the perspective of the planners of the event.
Minhaj comes from a Muslim family originally from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India. His parents immigrated to Davis, California, where Minhaj was born and raised.] After his birth, while he and his father remained in the U.S., his mother returned to India for eight years to complete medical school,[7] visiting the U.S. after three years to give birth to his sister, Ayesha, in 1989.
He is married to Beena Minhaj, whom he met in college.
Why should any president go to this event and be ridiculed by fools? I understand why Obama did, he is a fool and spent 8 years demeaning the office of the presidency. Isn’t there a certain dignity that we expect from our president? If a staff member kneels on a couch in the Oval Office these media people make a big deal of that. So, why should Trump or any other president play the fool for a group of fools?
I would like to think that Trump brought this to a halt and we will never again see our president turned into a circus monkey.
