This exemplifies why Trump is president-elect. Governor Moonbeam Brown signed into law a new regulation that will regulate methane gas from dairy farms. A state that has lost all common sense. This could have been the entire country had Trump not been elected.

Cattle and other farm animals are a primary source of methane gas. Livestock is responsible for 14.5% of human induced greenhouse gas emissions. In the nation’s largest milk-producing state the new regulations plan to reduce emissions from dairies and livestock operations to 40% below 2013 levels by 2030. Dairy farmers say it will drive up costs when they have had five years of drought, low milk prices and rising labor costs.

State regulators want farmers to reduce emissions with methane digesters which capture methane from manure in large storage tanks and covert the gas into electricity.

There are 1,500 dairy farms in the state. A methane digester costs $4 million . The state has set aside $50 million to help farmers convert. That buys 12.5 digesters.

The winners, the environmental zealots who care not for common sense with any realization that this will not make an impact in the grand scheme of environmental greenhouse gas production. The losers, every poor person who will pay far more for milk and the farmers who will go out of business.

At some point the majority of voters in California will grow tired of all this and the state will turn red. Importing illegal Democratic voters will only help only so long, but not forever.

We can thank our lucky stars that this is confined to California.
