I remember going through the Watergate mess with Richard Nixon. Are there no investigative reports in America any more?
The Obama administration has been piling up scandal after scandal with the mainstream media barely noticing.
Let me just note a few of the bigger ones, not in chronical order.
1. We had the Secret Service stiffing prostitutes while supposedly guarding the president. Stiffing is not meant to be a pun. One idiot refused to pay retail and the whole thing hit the fan.
2. We had Fast and Furious. A scheme to pass guns to Mexican drug lords that went terribly wrong. Now we have the Attorney General of the US in contempt of Congress for refusing to release documents required by said Congress. Holder is still on the job.
3. Kathleen Sebelius broke the law by openly electioneering on government time in North Carolina. The Hatch Act, a federal law, forbids such activity. She tried to get around the illegal activity by repaying expenses with personal funds. She’s still on the job.
4. The White House leaked sensitive information about the successful raid that killed bin Laden thus putting the seals in danger. Read the book, One Fine Day, by one of the seals, to see how he felt about that. All for political gain.
5. Obama tells federal contractors to break the law and not to notify employees about pending layoffs that the defense budget cuts will require even though the law mandates such notice. Obama tells those contractors the government will pay the fines and legal bills. To keep the notices from going out before the election. We, in Chicago, see this all the time. Welcome to Chicago.
6. Libya. On September 8,2012 the administrations starts to get warnings that terrorists intend to strike in Cairo and Libya. Threats to the US Embassy in Libya had been ramping up for months. On September 11, 2012 the terrorists strike and the ambassador Chris Stevens and three others are killed. We are told repeatedly that it was caused by a spontaneous action brought on by and obscure u-tube video. Hillary Clinton takes responsibility for the mess. She’s still on the job. Then, she throws the intelligence agency under the bus.
7. General Petraeus, who was scheduled to testify about the Benghazi raid resigns after admitting an affair with his biographer, Paula Broadwell.
8. We are told the FBI has been looking into the Broadwell/Petraeus affair for months. We are told one Jill Kelly contacted an FBI friend about threatening e-mails she had been receiving from Paula Broadwell. Of course, we find out about it two days after the election. As does the Congressional Intelligence Committee.
9. We now find said FBI agent sent shirtless photos of himself to Jill Kelley and was taken off the case. Months ago.
10. Now we learn the head general in Afghanistan, John Allen, had sent hundreds of e-mails(20,000 to 30,000 pages) to said Jill Kelley. We don’t yet know the nature of those e-mails. Allen was scheduled for a promotion. Good luck with that John. He won’t soon be on the job. To write 20,000 to 30,000 pages of e-mails to a woman in Tampa he was not very busy anyway.
11. It gets better. We find Jill Kelley is millions in debt and her home is about to be foreclosed. When you follow the trail, it’s always about money, isn’t it? How much was Kelley trying to extort from Allen and others?
