By delaying the Keystone Pipeline decision until after the election, Obama has offended our best friends, the Canadians. Prime Minister Stephen Harper says Canada will find another market for the oil, beginning right now. Canada had a plan B in place in case this happened. The country is tired of this country telling them that extracting oil from sand is an environmental crime. One of Hillary Clinton’s first trips as Secretary of State was to go to Canada and chastise the Canadian government for permitting this. I guess Canada felt it was none of our business, since they see the benefits to their economy. Canada is doing well, thank you very much, America.

Plan B is to ship the oil to the coast and sell it to Asia. Code for China. China, being wise of government, knows they can’t grow as a nation without energy. Real energy not energy produced by the likes of Solyndra. Canada doesn’t plan to wait for Obama’s next election. They could care less that he has a political problem. They have a plan to keep their economy afloat and grow high-paying jobs. They have put their economy above politics. What a novel idea.

This says it all. Mr. Harper’s language in Hawaii was plain, ” this does underscore the necessity of Canada making sure that we are able to access Asia markets for out energy products. And, that will be an important priority of our government going forward.” Mr. Harper said he made that point in a meeting with Chinese president, Hu Jintao.

Special interests and a president whose reelection depends on those interests just cost us the opportunity to cut Middle East imports by 6% and create jobs in America.
