Subject: No words were truer spoken……

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government can not pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”

— Senator Barack H. Obama, March 2006

Next: December 2010: Obama ignores his Debt Commission recommendations.

Next: February 2011, Obama presents a budget that increases debt by $10 trillion over the next 10 years.

Moving to April of this year when he asked for a debt ceiling with no spending cuts attached. That got him a 0-97 vote in the Senate.

Now, he chastises Congress for not being willing to make a big deal with spending cuts that will be augmented with revenue increases.

What happened to Senator Obama and his attitude about debt? He became president and grew government and debt at record levels. Can he really convince Americans he has truly changed his stripes?

He did once, obviously, from anti-debt to pro debt. Is he willing to cut spending?

It appears to me that Obama has no opinion whatsoever. He is just a politician blowing in the wind.
