Oct. 26) — Frank Caprio, the Rhode Island Democrat who told President Barack Obama to “shove it” after learning he wouldn’t endorse anyone in the gubernatorial race, stood by his words today and said he’d be “happy to field his call” if Obama decided to endorse him.

“The White House wanted to play politics instead of coming into Rhode Island and caring about what’s going on in the households across Rhode Island,” the gubernatorial candidate said on NBC’s “Today” show this morning.

Obama visited Rhode Island on Monday to promote his small-business bill and lend a hand in Democratic fundraising, but the White House said Obama would not endorse anyone in the governor’s race. After hearing that news, Caprio told radio station WPRO early Monday that Obama can “take his endorsement and shove it.”

Here are a few other things you can shove, Mr. President:

1. Your entire last month of campaigning. We know you can campaign, we worry that it may be your only talent, we wonder whether you can lead or do any actual work. The way you have spent your time in office, we doubt you can do either.

2. Obamacare. Shove that hard and fast.

3. Increasing the size of government. Government, especially yours, does little well. Why do we want to give you more to do?

4. Making America a Social Democracy. You might note what’s happening in Greece, France, and the United Kingdom. Why would anyone with a lick of intelligence or common sense follow a losing form of government?

5. Government spending. Shove it now.

6. Your immigration position.

7. Your excessive green posture. Shove that big time.

8. Trying to unionize the country.

That’s my shove list. After next Tuesday, you may find a good many people in this country agree with my list. There’s a lot we wish you would shove and it will show at the polls.
