President Obama Tells Arizona Governor No Dice
June 29th, 2010Days past the two week promise he made to Governor Jan Brewer, President Obama sent some minions to Arizona to meet with the governor with a boring power point presentation responding to the meeting with Brewer in Washington.
The upshot of the yawner was a promise to send 524 National Guard troops in staggered numbers over the next few months. There will never be more than 150 at any time and they will be assigned to clerical duties. The attendees were not given copies of the power point presentation.
Oh yes, they will repair 20 miles of the fence. In the interim, the Obama folks have put up signs between the border and Phoenix warning people that it might be unsafe to hike or travel in the corridors the illegals travel.
Obama has not visited Arizona to see the problems first-hand. Just like the BP issue where he didn’t visit the Gulf or meet with Tony Hayward.
Governor Brewer is a tough lady and will not roll over for Obama.
Meanwhile, a lawsuit against the Arizona law that says employers must check the legal status of employees will be heard by the Supreme Court. The Arizona law passed the Court of Appeals and now goes to the Supreme Court. The law was put into effect by the prior governor, Janet Napolitano. The suit sues Janet Napolitano.
Obama is clearly on record now saying to Arizona, see you in court. That’s all I intend to do. I condone a porous border and want more potential voters than I care about the security and financial implications for the citizens of Arizona.
Once again, Democrats must be cringing. The majority of Americans want the border problem fixed. Obama doesn’t and Democrats will pay again in November.
Thanks so much, Mr. President. Every day, you drive another nail in the hopes of Democrats running for office in November. Like Bush was in the last election for Democrats, you are the Republicans best ally. Planning to campaign for anyone in Arizona between now and November?

Anyone Can Have a Bad Century
June 27th, 2010Look at the Chicago Cubs. They were in the World Series last in 1908. A bad century. Is it lack of money, bad management, or the hex of the billy goat? In over a hundred years, one might assume there would be confluence of luck that would negate the money, management, and maybe the hex. After all, the hex of the Bambino finally left and let the Redsox win a World Championship.
Look at the Blackhawks. After years of bad management by Bill Wirtz, he died and his son, Rocky, took over. Immediately, the team got better, the fans came back, and they won the Stanley Cup this year. Look at the Bulls. They made one good trade, got Michael Jordan, and won 6 championships. Even the White Sox lined up the cherries on the slot machine and won a World Series. They way they are playing now, they may win another this year.
Meanwhile the Cubs new owners’ are redecorating the rest rooms at the park. And, trying to force the City of Mesa, Arizona to build them a new stadium with taxpayer money or they will move spring training to Florida where the new owners winter.
The truth of the matter is the owners of the Cubs, past and present, don’t care about winning. Especially if it means spending money. They have the best little bar ever built on the north side of Chicago. People go there to get sunshine and drink beer and a ball game breaks out. They will get their 3,000,000 fans this year despite a bad team and total disregard for the fans. It’s been a bad century for the fans but not for the owners.
Where am I going with this? Our politicians are setting up a bad century for our kids and grand kids, and we are like Cub fans, we just keep buying.
Obama is in Toronto with the elf, Geithner, dodging riots and trying to convince the G-20 attendees to keep spending. They, on the other hand, are trying to tell Obama to stop spending. Their message to Obama, stop spending. We’ve tried your strategy for 50 years and it doesn’t work. Why are you putting in place our losing strategy?
In a ranking of political units likely to default on debt, Illinois ranks just behind Iraq and just ahead of California. Why? They can’t stop spending and they just keep borrowing to put off spending cuts. Pension obligations is the major factor.
If we don’t get Democrats out of control in Congress in the fall and Obama out of office in 2012, we will be like the Cubs, headed for a bad century. Illinois must be the least intelligent state in the country, but now it’s even looking bad compared to the worst countries in rest of the world. Thank God for Greece. The same corrupt people have been running the state for years. Governors come and go, from office to jail. Obama came from Illinois. He wants to make America like Illinois. It’s all he knows. Mayor Daley would be doing the same things Obama is. The only difference, Daley would be doing it behind the scenes. Obama, on the other hand, can’t resist the camera and is putting his face and stamp on all the mistakes. How bad is it to be only slightly ahead of California in a potential default rating?
Greece has already defaulted for all practical purposes. They got bailed out by Europe and Obama. Next on the default probability list is: Venezuela:58.05%, Argentina: 48.15, Pakistan:38.80, Ukraine: 35.69, Iraq: 29.29, Dubai 29.20, then Illinois: 27.35 and California: 27.00.
Back to the Cubs. If you have fans who support you regardless of what you do(voters) and management that understands that and is indifferent to their actions(politicians), you have the potential for a century of failure. Illinois, California, and the United States is in that situation. Illinois is teetering on the brink. There has been no balanced budget for 9 years. They just keep borrowing.
So, if you keep watching while your elected officials screw up the future, you may be destined to find out what Cub fans already know. Anyone can have a bad century. It might take that long or longer to fix what’s being done right now.

Global Cooling in Gore Marriage
June 26th, 2010First we hear the Gore’s are splitting. Then, we hear a woman in Portland, Oregon says Al ordered a massage in his hotel room in Portland in 2006. She claims Al made unwanted sexual advances. She reported it to the police, but chose not to file charges. Went back to the police a couple of years later with the clothing and said she had changed her mind. The police now claim they didn’t keep the clothing. She went to the National Inquirer after telling the police she was going public. Gore, of course, is innocent until proven guilty, but where’s there’s smoke, there’s fire. The mainstream media didn’t touch the Gore story.
Lot’s of similarities here with John Edwards and Bill Clinton. In Clinton’s case Monica kept the little blue dress. In Edwards case, like Gore’s, the National Inquirer broke the story. It’s called Democratic immunity from mainstream media. In both Edward’s case and Clinton’s no one said the acts were not consensual. That is the big difference with Gore. This lady is saying she was illegally molested.
Why would anyone be surprised by this? Al Gore is and always has been a sleaze ball. He invented the Internet and invented his marriage too, I guess. He lives with one of the largest carbon footprints in America, but uses global warming to amass a billion dollars, a Nobel Prize, and a Oscar. His big kiss on stage with Tipper was to show the passion that lived in their marriage. As phoney as his dedication to global warming.
Al Gore is Jimmy Swaggart. He will do or say anything for a buck or for personal gain. Why not rape a young lady in Portland, he has raped most all of us in America pushing his global warming baloney to get cap and trade passed and set this country back another 20 years. We can only hope this lady presses charges and Al does a little time and can’t buy himself out of a criminal act. Seems Tipper won’t be standing by her man.
Some people seem to totally devoid of integrity, character, and conscience. Al Gore is the prototype of that. Aren’t you glad he didn’t win the presidency, we would have had another impeachment. Birds of a feather flock together.
Come on Al, you did the crime, do the time. You will only get a couple of years with good behavior. We need to get you off the streets, you are a danger to this country.

I Wish I Could Be Number One
June 30th, 2010Townhall Magazine published the top 100 people liberals hate the most. As a devoted Tea Party supporter, I’m devastated to find our group is only #7. Come on folks, we can do better. We need to get to the number one spot on this list. We are behind some good company, but our chances for number one must wait until the November elections.
If we do that job right, we should be number one.
Here are some excerpts from that magazine.
As we have watched the ongoing fight in America the Townhall editorial staff compiled a list of the 100 most disliked by the Left.
As Americans despair over the direction of the country, the actions of the Obama administration and the Democratic Congress, and the efforts of the tea party movement, we have noticed a disturbing pattern: the American Left is trashing everyone who dares to stand against them. The more effective the voices that oppose their agenda, the greater the venom the Left spews in their direction.
It’s this out-of-control behavior from our fellow citizens who are sold out to the ultra liberal progressive Obama agenda to “radically transform” the United States that led us to create this list of “The 100 Americans the Left Hates Most.”
The Massive list of those we believe have the largest bull’s-eyes painted on them by the Left and the Democrat-dominated government. From that list, through a process of voting, debating and prioritizing, we assembled the final 100.There were only two absolute requirements:
1) They had to be living, which is why Ronald Reagan and William F. Buckley Jr. are not featured; and 2) they had to be American, which explains Mark Steyn and the Pope’s absence from the list.If you think we’re way off base with some or all of our rankings or believe we missed somebody, please let us know. We want to know what you think, so submit your thoughts to Feedback@Townhall.com.
#7THE TEA PARTY PATRIOT…Or as the snide liberal Left! calls these patriots, “tea baggers. After Obama’s fevered supporters vaulted him into office this group of self motivated, God Fearing people have done him great damage by doing what the mainstream media refuses to do, expose his agenda. The Left literally hates this group.
The tea party movement has presented a significant roadblock for the president’s progressive agenda. This boisterous bunch of impassioned patriots has helped the political climate quickly
From a minute Facebook group to a mass movement of millions, the tea party movement is driven by American tradition and is focused on resurrecting the nation’s historical promise. They are everything from self-educated commonsense patriots who love God, guns and Old Glory.
As this grassroots movement continues to grow, liberals know they don’t stand a chance—their agenda cannot stand up to the greatness of America’s founding and the citizens who will stand to defend it.
Rally, fellow Tea Partiers. We need to be number one. Collectively, we have to be more despised than the current number one, Glen Beck, or even number two, you guessed it, Sarah Palin.
